(Monday Middle School) History Detectives: Local History, American Law, & Primary Sources (M)

History Detectives: Monday 12:30-3:00pm (Middle School)

During this 9-week course, students will investigate local history using primary sources.  Topics include Native American Tribal Culture, Pioneers, Florida Citrus & Cattle Industries, 20th Century Transportation, the Legal System, and more!  Students will visit the Orange County Regional Historical Center and prepare their own digital exhibits to present to the R School Community at the end of the term.

Dr. Claire Strom will lead three lessons, including two tours* at the Orlando Regional Historical Center.

Ages:  Middle School (11-14)
Cost:  Part of the 5, 3, or 1-day package, or $225 for a 9-week course.

Students must apply and be accepted before enrolling.
