Tuesday: Maker Space (Ages 5-14+) 3:45-5:00
We’re going to turn the classroom into a design laboratory! This class will cover the basics of taking an idea and making a prototype. That may be through 3D printing, sculpting, drawing, or more likely all of the above.
We will also be talking to local makers about their projects, where inspiration comes from, and the creative skills they use.

Wednesday: Sewing (ages 5-14+) 3:45-5:00
What happens if you lose a button? Do you find a safety pin? Stapler? Or do you sew it back on?
Starting with the fundamental principles and building up to a final project, students will learn and explore the skills of sewing. We will discover through discussion and hands-on projects the relevance of sewing for life skills (e.g. fixing a button), for constructing a useful objects, for artistic expression, for service to someone in need, and for sustainability. Meanwhile, students will exercise fine motor skills, measurements and fractions, respect for tools, and planning a project step-by-step.
